You Don't Need Your Water To...

A high-concept, AI-driven video campaign for Home 2 Office Water that blends absurdist humor with urgent water quality messaging. Each video opens with a wild, unexpected scene — like water singing duets, hunting ghosts, or working with wolf scientists — and ends with a simple, unforgettable punchline: “You don’t need your water to [do that]... You just need it to be clean.” This campaign creates a memorable, emotionally sticky connection to the brand while showcasing storytelling, video production, and strategic humor—all with a locally competitive sales purpose.

Inside the ACO: Live Coverage Meets Documentary Storytelling

As Director of Creative Content for the American Cornhole Organization, I produced a wide range of video content that blended fast-paced sports coverage with deeper storytelling. This section includes two key highlights:

  • The $20K Shootout – A high-stakes, multi-cam live production capturing the intensity of the competition and the personalities behind the boards.

  • ACO: LA Crew Docuseries – A behind-the-scenes look at the ACO team on the road, combining cinematic storytelling with raw broadcast footage to humanize the brand and highlight the culture behind the sport.

Each video reflects my hands-on role in directing, editing, camera operation, and creative strategy—from shoot planning to final cut.

I’ve directed and edited episodic content for the American Cornhole Organization, including These Kids Will Beat You (https://tinyurl.com/a4mdtwz5)—a heartfelt story of two working-class boys competing for the2014 Junior World Championship. I scripted the episode, directed the voiceover, and blended film crew and live broadcast footage from the Las Vegas-based event to highlight not just the sport, but the pride of place and identity.

A one-of-a-kind live special designed as both a streaming showcase and television pitch to attract network buyers. Developed by Frank Geers, founder and president of the American Cornhole Organization, the tournament featured the top 16 nationally ranked players in a single-elimination, winner-takes-all bracket with a $20,000 sponsor-funded prize. Players were flown in, hosted with full accommodations, and the event was presented by Rich Pyle (Hardcore Pawn, Nat Geo’s Meltdown). I produced all commercials, motion graphics (including player face/name lower thirds), and branded intros/outros for the live broadcast. I also handled post-production, segmenting the event into individual matches, polishing each episode for YouTube, and ensuring episodic continuity.

Hole Nation – Cornhole’s Premier News & Culture Show
Created, produced, and directed by C.S. Alexander

Originally envisioned as the SportsCenter of cornhole, Hole Nation was designed to be the go-to source for fans and players across all organizations. With professional polish, timely highlights, interviews, and original segments, the show brought a new level of production quality to the sport.

Hosted by Frank Geers—founder of professional cornhole and President of the ACO—the series gave fans a centralized place to stay connected to the community. It evolved over time, especially after onboarding TV personality Rich Pyle (Hardcore Pawn, Nat Geo’s Meltdown), who brought an energetic, fan-first vibe to the screen.

From concept to rebrand, I led the creative direction, adapting the format into a more entertainment-focused show shot at live ACO Majors. Through interactive challenges, candid player moments, and a shift toward game-show-style segments, Hole Nation became a fan favorite.

The result? A show that connected players, fans, and casual viewers alike through personality-driven storytelling and smart data-informed pivots. Every episode was a chance to grow the sport—and the brand—through high-end video content that never forgot how to have fun.
